2x Hard Drives but i am using my Performance one For memory(not good)

so what i need to work out is how to get the other one as the Main HD

Western Digital Caviar Green Power (2TB)
2000GB/SATAIII/3.5"/64MB [WD20EARX]

And

Corsair SSD 120GB Force Series GT:
SATA 3 6Gb/x

My issue being that my Corsair is set up as my Main HD when i need it to be set up the other way around

My Cpu is Intel Core 3770K @3.4Ghz Overclocked to 4.2Ghz With a Maximus V Gene MotherBoard

the Western Digital HD isnt even Registered in the Programming and has nothing on it at all.

My suggestion would be to move over all of your data onto the memory hard drive. Then you will need to format the performance one. You also will need to install windows on your storage drive if you don't want it on your performance drive. Then just move the other data on your storage you want on your performance drive. It will be a pain, but that's about the only way to do it.

The problem lies with your Windows installation being on the hard drive you want clean. You can install windows on the storage drive without taking it off the main drive, just be careful, you may need to put everything on your performance drive then install Windows on the storage drive because it may try formatting it when you install the program. Then move all the stuff from your performance drive and format it and voila.

windows is on the performance HD as well as everything elce the issue is that it only has like 120gb of space lol so i want to leave windows on it but have it programmed that all the programs install on the the 2tb hd so that i have more space and can run smoother

Oh, that makes it a lot easier. What you can do is just move everything off the performance drive, clean it up my defragging it and then just for future programs just choose that hard drive to install it on.

To install to a new hard drive, when you choose your destination when installing files, just go to My Computer and select the storage drive then choose the folder to install it into. Little more work but that's about the only way there is to do it. Then you need to just navigate through that particular drive to reach your files, sort of like a thumb drive.

its not listed

it only thinks that it has one HD installed on it and it wont let me add the 2nd hard drive

I'm guessing you have Windows 7 since it doesn't automatically recognize it.

If that's the case, in the Start Menu, search for Computer Management. Open that up and go to Computer Management (Local) > Storage > Disk Management, it should show you the different Drives on your computer. Might be listed as RAW or Unallocated. If it shows up, it probably needs formatting, especially if it wasn't used on Windows 7 before. Just click the drive, it should have a black line for unallocated, then just format the drive. You will lose all the data on the drive.

What is your motherboards chip-set? If its z77, h77, h67 or z67 than you can build raid and use your corsair for ssd cashing. google for - Intel® Smart Response Technology

You get storage and speed if you do this.

You'd have to re-install Windows on the other drive.
