GTX 1060 is a much more powerful card. It can play most newer games at 1080p.
1050ti can only play the new games at medium details at 1080p.

The GTX 1050 Ti 4GB is Nvidia’s latest Pascal based GPU. The 1050 Ti has a TDP of 75 Watts and is based on a new 14nm GP107 processing core which has approximately 66% of the key resources (CUDA cores, texture units, memory bandwidth and transistor count etc.) found on the 3GB GTX 1060. Comparing userbenchmarks for the 1050 Ti and 3GB 1060 shows that the 1050 Ti is falling a little short of our expectations but we only have one benchmark for the 1050 Ti so the average score will probably improve as we gather more samples. The list price for the 1050 Ti is $139 which is between AMDs $185 RX 470 and $100 RX 460. Comparing performance between the RX 470 vs GTX 1050 Ti and RX 460 vs GTX 1050 Ti shows that the 1050 Ti sits roughly in the middle for both price and performance.

Worth going the extra mile for the 1060, future proofing a bit and small price difference besides for the 3gb model.

If you are going to play newest games at 1080p definetely gtx 1060 don't even think about.
I personally went further for 1070 to be safe so I don't get low fps and am able to play many games on my 144hz monitor.
Never had any complaints.

I would recommend you save more money and get a GTX 1070. 1070 is more powerful and it has more future than 1060

Depends on the price. Gtx 1060 3gb is around 70% faster. Always choose higher processing power to VRAMs.

Those two are incomparable to be honest. the gtx 1060 outperforms gtx 1050 by far. You should grab yourself the 6gb version though for latest demanding games.

I feel the Gtx1060 is a lot better than the 1050 TI
